Bloudan Mediterranean Cuisine caters to healthy Mediterranean dining
By Chris Galford- When Bloudan Mediterranean Cuisine opened its doors in 2013, Sylvania native and co-owner Leonardo Dehabey entered the scene with the slogan: premium food, premier customer services. Today, the restaurant’s premier food selection has expanded alongside a new chef and their premier catering is gearing up for the holiday season.
“A big part of our business is catering. We do all occasion catering: pick-up, delivery, the whole nine yards. We have people that use us for their house parties, medical office catering, Christmas parties, corporate parties; we’re the place to get catering from. We’ll beat any price in town and we promise fresh food,” Leonardo said.
The restaurant, a joint venture by Leonardo and his father, Lawrence, makes these catering services largely customizable, including the reservations themselves. While closed on Sundays, the restaurant in turn offers Sundays (along with their normal business days) specifically for any special requests.
That catering involves their full selection of Middle Eastern, Italian, Greek and, most recently, French cuisine, thanks to a new chef on staff: Jean-Luc.
“We’ve also added a couple new Lebanese wines, including the top shelf Chateau Kefraya, which goes well with the Australian lamb chops,” Leonardo said.
The restaurant, originally launched on recipes Leonardo’s mother learned in her native Syria, has come a long way since its beginning. It’s adding new dishes all the time, and as Leonardo himself notes, there’s nothing quite like it in Toledo.
“A big thanks to all of our regular customers, and the support of the Sylvania community. We’re Sylvania residents — been here for forever. So people that come here, they are supporting local,” said Leonardo.
