Let’s talk lashes
By Dr. Hope Mitchell, FLTN Columnist- As a dermatologist, I often get asked about inadequate or not enough eyelashes. An innovation in lashes has swept the nation and it’s called LATISSE. LATISSE has been on the market for over five years and is FDA approved for use to grow eyelashes, making them longer, thicker and darker.
LATISSE is believed to prolong the active growth phase. The growth is gradual and results are typically seen within eight weeks. LATISSE is the only FDA approved prescription treatment used to grow eyelashes. Off label uses are lower lid lashes, eyebrows and even your temple hair loss. Like all hair growth products, once desired results are attained a maintenance plan is needed to keep your new lashes.
The most common side effects are eye itching or eye redness. Typically, these can be managed with modifying how often you use LATISSE. LATISSE is available for purchase at Mitchell Dermatology or join us for our LIDS, LIPS & LASHES Event on October 17from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
