As the day went on, however, the breakfast diner revealed a special treat for its customers: a sudden infusion of flowers, care of the Lyons Lucky Leaders 4-H Club.

Another stop on the Sunflower for Seniors march, in which 4-H members distribute sunflowers grown for the community, Scrambler Marie’s manager, Courtney Brubaker, was on hand to oversee events as they went down.

“I think it’s awesome. They’re going to love it — you go up and talk with them, and they enjoy that,” Courtney said.

And once they had a little atmosphere? Customers enjoyed the omelets that have made Scrambler Marie’s popular, as well as a host of other breakfast delights such as pancakes and French toast. What’s more, it’s a location that keeps breakfast going late into the afternoon, with daily hours from 6:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.
