Invisalign “Clear Braces” preferred by adults
By Wendy Cornett
Whittaker Family Dental recently began offering Invisalign braces – made from virtually invisible plastic – which are seeing a surge in popularity among adult patients.
“I would say 90 percent of my Invisalign patients are adults,” said Dr. Jeffrey Tritle of Whittaker Family Dental’s Maumee office. “It gives them a great opportunity to straighten their teeth without having all that metal in their mouths.”
Patients wearing Invisalign braces follow a treatment schedule similar to that of those wearing traditional braces, with visits about every six weeks to ensure that treatment is progressing as planned.
Whittaker Family Dental is currently offering free laser whitening to Invisalign patients at the conclusion of their treatment.
“We’ll straighten up those teeth, and then we’ll whiten up that smile,” Dr. Tritle added. “The smile is one of the focal points of your face. Someone without a great smile doesn’t have a lot of confidence. It really gives me an opportunity to help people out in both of those aspects.”
