While Toledo offers a variety of dining options, the Star of India restaurant offers its customers a variety of options for those who might be looking for something different to eat.

The restaurant owned by Surjeet “Sunny” Singh opened in the now-former Dudley’s Diner and is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week. Surjeet opened Star of India, located at 415 S. Reynolds Road, after the site remained vacant for some time and now offers both vegetarian and non-vegetarian Indian cuisine to those who walk through the door.

Among the food items that can be ordered are Tandoori chicken, as well as a variety of Tandoori breads stuffed with items like cheese, lamb or spiced onions. The menu offers customers their choice of Indian dishes, including lamb, seafood, chicken and rice mixed with meat or vegetables.

Vegetarian entrees can also be ordered as well, in addition to appetizers, chicken curry, soups and Indian desserts. Although the diner has a new atmosphere, Surjeet still continues to offer a variety of different shakes that can be ordered as part of their meal.
