Wings Station in Swanton sees expansion, community support
By Matthew Kent
Wings Station in Swanton has continued to see much success since opening its doors nine years ago, thanks to the support of people who have patronized the business. The restaurant, located on East Airport Highway owned by Steve Bubulya, has seen some changes to its menu over the years, including a transition to opening early for breakfast. Among the items that can be found on their breakfast menu are meat, eggs and potatoes, in addition to omelets, skillets, French toast, pancakes and biscuits and gravy. In addition, it also serves a variety of wraps, sandwiches, salads and homemade desserts, but Wings Station has become known for other menu items as well. “We’re really famous for our wings and our gyros,” Steve said. During the month of August, the establishment plans to offer 30 wings and two sides for $19.99 in time for the upcoming football season. The restaurant, which is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week, also underwent an expansion in March that doubled the size of the business. Steve added that Wings Station has received a great deal of support from the local community that has embraced his restaurant. “I really appreciate my customers and I appreciate the community … and I feel like I’m home here,” he said.
