The Rotary Club of Sylvania will host its annual pancake supper on Tuesday, November 3, and exciting changes are in store.

“We’re changing our location as well as changing our name and really spicing things up a bit,” explained Lori Cannon of Edward Jones.

“We’re going to be utilizing the expertise of local chefs and partnering with them to raise money for the local community,” added Jacqueline Rivers of Kistler Ford.

Flapjacks and Chef Hats will feature local chefs preparing pancakes, waffles and omelets. There will be games, prizes and children’s activities. The Rotary Club of Sylvania asks for $5 donations, and all proceeds will benefit Sylvania Area Family Services.

New Rotary Club member Joseph Shamy of Sylvania Schools/Owens Community College is proud to be taking part in this year’s event.

“I love the Rotarian’s mission statement,” he said. “I love the service to the community and the opportunity to change the lives of other people and help others; that’s why I’m here.”
