MADE IN OHIO: Moore Metal Finishing proves manufacturing alive and well in Sylvania

When one thinks of the small, quiet suburb of Sylvania, they may not immediately associate it with heavy industry, but Moore Metal Finishing proves that manufacturing is still very much a part of this lively neighborhood.
Begun in 1942 on Central Ave., Moore moved onto Silica Rd. about 20 years ago, and what began as a 3 machine plating operation has since grown to 11 machines and counting. For 19 hours a day, this factory churns out parts for everything from refrigerators to cars, and according to its VP of Operations, Larry Huth, the outlook is looking good for the future.
