Perrysburgers is set for a grand reopening come March, this time with a new chef and manager: Dana Doremus-Lynch. With her will be coming a return to old-school Perrysburger, meaning a return to a full service restaurant and most of the old burgers, albeit with Dana’s own particular twist and style on their delivery.

“I’ve always loved Perrysburgers. I follow them on Facebook and they posted a message one day that they were looking for a new chef. So I sent them my resume, sent them a big long message about my passion about food and the restaurant industry,” Dana said.

The owners, Eric and Patti Tudor, were clearly moved by that passion when they offered the Rossford High School graduate the job, and Dana’s more than 25 years in the food industry likely did not hurt either. In addition, while the menu might be a blast from the past, the Tudors are looking to bring big changes to the building itself.

“We’re trying to warm the place up a bit. We’re going to open up the ceiling, just make it a little more comfortable for everybody,” said Dana.

As the restaurant pushes into a more server-dominated atmosphere, it will also be introducing a seasonal element to Dana’s creations.

“We’re going to run seasonal specials, have a seasonal kind of menu, where in the spring we’ll run things that are driven by the farmer’s market,” Dana said.
