Dr. Clint D. Keifer and Great Lakes Audiology celebrate 2 years of ear care

According to Dr. Keifer, there’s nothing better than seeing someone who’s gone from struggling to hearing again. It’s the sort of thing that alters lives.

Together, for the last two years, Dr. Clint D. Keifer and his practice at Great Lakes Audiology have helped patients take a curative journey down the auditory canal. With a fully staffed office of trained personnel dedicated to the comprehensive care of all things hearing related, theirs is a practice that also seeks to put to rest the notion of a one fix solution for complex troubles.

“People receive a lot of literature in the mail and see a lot of things online related to the purchase of devices that are touted to be the one thing that will solve all their problems. What’s missing from that is the very necessary professional care. As a doctor of audiology, my focus is to manage overall hearing health, to stop preventable loss and improve auditory function. This includes things from considering underlying/contributing medical conditions to ensuring that devices are most appropriately fit and adjusted to improve function,” Dr. Keifer said.

There’s no reason to avoid a checkup, either. According to Dr. Keifer, many insurance companies cover hearing checks, and his office will also help prospective patients through any required referral processes.

For Dr. Keifer, this journey began three years ago actually, with a bundle full of questions and a lot of ways they could be addressed. Dr. Keifer wanted to find a way to take the best aspects of the clinical setting and combine it with exceptional customer service to provide the highest quality patient care and experiences — a blend between art and science. The rewards of doing so have been immeasurable for the doctor, though, owing to the fact that his is a science that can honestly change lives.

“When they’re fit with a hearing aid appropriately, it just opens up their world. People tell me all sorts of things that stand out to them, such as the sound of birds that they forgot even made sounds, the enjoyment of family and loved ones, and just small little things like that can mean the whole world to someone,” Dr. Keifer said.
